Day 1 & 2

Flight out of DC to BOS was great...short layover and the trans-Atlantic to Dublin was great.  Watched an oddly good French movie on the flight...arrived at 530am and immediately on to the bus.  It was ~5 hours with three stops to:

1.  Cliffs at Moher - see pics.  it turned out to be the place i used (randomly) as the background for the blog.  kinda neat.

2.  Rathbaun Farm - had scones, clotted cream jam and coffee then watched a border collie herd sheep and a sheep shorn...yay.  very nice.  Very Irish.

3.  where i am sitting as i write this - Cartlton Hotel, Galway City, County Galway

needless to say the country side on the roughly 8 hours of bus time today was stunning but it was mixed with fitful bus sleep after red-eying with intermittent sleep.

Tomorrow is early Irish breakfast then Galway, Sligo, Mayo, Donegal (Drumcliffe Churchyard/cemetery and a pottery factory - yay again) but two nights beginning tomorrow in county Donegal.

Everyone knows this but Ireland is a picture postcard every where you look.  Its really amazing.

More pics will flow in now that i can settle a bit and get my big camera going...lots will post tomorrow.

Here is a short vid from the cliffs:
